Mile 116.5 - Elves Chasm

River runners frequently enjoy the short scramble from the river to a waterfall at Elves Chasm. The chasm is filled with cardinal monkeyflower, columbines, and orchids. A pool forms at the base of the fall, a great place take a dip. The chasm is quiet and peaceful, a place where you wouldn’t be surprised to see a little elf hopping around.
