Mile 68.5 - Tanner Rapid

Seth Tanner, trader and miner; reconstructed the trail that now carries his name with Fred Bunker in 1889. In addition to being used for mining activities, the trail was used by horse thieves and later by moonshiners during prohibition. Tanner mined several claims fairly successfully in the eastern portion of Grand Canyon and the Little Colorado River drainage.
