Mile 95 - Hermit Rapid

At certain water levels, Hermit Rapid contains the most towering waves in the entire canyon. The river constricts from both sides and creates a dozen or more “compression” waves. The ride through Hermit at mid to high flows is often likened to riding a roller coaster, or a bucking bronco.
