You know we came down here for a four-day rafting tour and yet we got so much more. We had hiking tours and the meals were wonderful. They were first class all the way. They had salads, steaks, and chicken. Breakfast was full spread every time so it was wonderful wonderful food.
Beautiful boat rides, beautiful sunsets over the mountains, and just the breathtaking views every day have been amazing. The whole trip has been great.
I've never been on a river trip. I've done a one-day rafting trip but that was 10-12 years ago. So I wasn't quite remembering what it was like. So coming down here and spending four days on the river was just great. Some days it was just nice and calm and you got to float and relax on the boat. And some days there were rapids. It was amazing and fun, you just gotta hang on!
Yeah, I sat on the front of the boat the entire time because I figured, "why not?" You're here you need to experience and go for it the whole time. It was amazing, you would go down into the wave and you would see it cresting up and then you would just hit it. Sometimes it would just splash over you and sometimes it wouldn't. You just didn't know until it came. Then you just hold your breath and keep your head down and wait for the next one.
The guides are amazing; they were nice, they were informative, they were funny, they were all-around funny people and helpful at every turn. They were very welcoming and always getting to know people. I think they knew everybody within the first hour. They sat down and really tried to get to know everybody and throughout the trip, they knew everybody's names and again, they were there every minute we needed them. So they were wonderful.
Yeah, I saw shooting stars and satellites. It was amazing. There were so many stars you just can't see growing up in a city. Honestly, I just think the highlight is being out here. It's just being in this environment away from everything you know. Away from the city, away from electronics, and being with your family and friends or the people you meet on the trip and just hanging out and having a good time. That is the highlight.
