Horn Creek Rapids

Mile 90.5 - Horn Creek Rapids

Two boulders at the top of the rapid mark it with a pair of horns before dropping the river into a series of waves and holes. Furthermore, the rapid and creek are named after Tom Horn, most well-known as the chief interpreter in the army’s negotiations with Geronimo. Horn is also known for being convicted of murdering a young boy in Wyoming, an offense he was hanged for.
