I saw so many things that I had never seen before, it was all really good. We saw lots and lots of wildlife. I tried lots of nice food which I had never tasted before. And I really liked everything about this, really.

The moment when we got to camp and it was my first time sleeping outside and in the middle of the night when I woke up you could see the galaxy and it was so pretty. And it was completely peaceful. It was really fun stopping and all these stops and seeing the interesting bits of history. They said it’s almost exactly the same as it was in the past, which is kind of amazing.

The guides were so nice. It was really kind of them to treat you like you were already their friend. The guides would do a lot of the rowing and we would just sit there and look at everything. But if we wanted to we could go in the kayak. At first I was quite scared because I’d never done it before but I was also a bit excited. And the moment we hit those rapids it was like a roller coaster. It was really, really fun! It’s actually quite refreshing and it feels so good.

This sort of brings you back to something that’s a bit more important than computer games and electronics. It gets back to nature and you’re spending time with your friends and family, which is quite important.

My parents really don’t want to go home right now. They loved everything here.
