A Breathtaking Experience
My husband and I really enjoyed the diversity of this trip and rate the tours as follows:
#1 - Sunset hummer tour up Hell's Revenge - Molly did a great job maneuvering the Hummer, had a vast amount of knowledge of the terrain and Moab in general and made this excursion really fun. We have so many great pics and videos of our exciting climbs up the rocks.
#2 - Arches Nat'l Park - awesome hikes but not too long. Beautiful scenery and again enjoyed having Molly as the lead on this tour. She kept a watchful eye on all of us to be sure we were ok and knew where to go. We felt the tour in the park was just long enough. The park overall is amazing!!
#3 - Rafting - great team of hard-working staff who truly seemed to enjoy what they were doing. It's a LOT of work to do what they did to transport all the gear, load and unload, cook etc. They made every effort to make it a fun time and the food was descent. We had a good group of 30+ people overall and made some long lasting friends. The first day on the river was a bit disappointing (although the scenery was gorgeous) there were no rapids to speak of. Our guide was nice and our fellow rafters were very pleasant and the staff did their best to make it a fun day. The 2nd day was much more fun as we did hit a few class 2/3 rapids. If you are looking for a more exhilarating, challenging river rafting trip however, this would not be the one to select.
The Gonzo Inn was adequate and clean although the rooms could use a little updating. Overall, this trip was a good value for the money.
