Most Amazing 5 Days Ever!!
This was truly the most amazing 5 days of our lives.
Let me start at the beginning. I knew I wanted to take my family on a rafting trip, so I did a ton of online research and ended up calling Western River Expeditions. I got in touch with Lori, who has turned into a dear friend through all of this! She was so pleasant and patient on the phone (I called and emailed her frequently!), and she answered all my questions very thoroughly. She explained each of the various rafting trips to me, and she helped me figure out the perfect river trip for my family. I can't say enough great things about Lori!!!!!!
On to the trip itself--- my kids (14 year old girl, and boys ages 9 and 11) had no idea what to expect from this trip, so initially they weren't even overly excited, but now they are begging me to go back. The trip was so awesome that there's no way I can do it justice in a paragraph.
The river guides and the jester were super-cool, helpful, knowledgeable, and funny, and the meals they prepared for us were ridiculously delicious! The Lower Salmon River was super-fun. I felt very confident in our guides at all times. I enjoyed learning some history of the area along the way, and the guides made it interesting for the kids, too. Highlights of the trip include the rapids, the water fights, the cliff jumping, the food, THE GUIDES, the other guests, swimming and kayaking through rapids, the beautiful scenery and campsites, unplugging from all electronics, and watching my kids have the best time of their lives.
