Awed and a Bit Overwhelmed
When I was a teenager, I read a magazine article about the men and women who ran the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. For over 40 years it has been a dream of mine to do the same. My wife was worried that I had built this trip up too big in my mind and I would be disappointed. On the contrary, my imagination was unprepared for the majesty and grandeur that was laid out before me every day, and night, on the river. The guides of Western River knew how to inject just the right amount of history, humor or reverence as needed for every situation.
I will never forget my first trip through the Grand Canyon and the Lord willing, and the creek don't rise, it won't be my last! Thank you Steve, Brian, Ben, Micky and all the support staff at Western River, for making this trip so special!
