Best White Water Rafting
I'm 72, and this was the experience of a lifetime.
Superlatives across the board. First kudos to our guides, Jeff and Ronnie Hayman. There were in the make it or break it role, and they made the trip. Knowledgeable, reassuring, competent, pleasant, I could go on and on.
One of my main interests was photographing the experience. I'm still sorting hundreds of photos, but they are stunning reminders of the unique sights of the trip: geology, rapids, critters, skies . . . And Ronnie and Jeff understood my interest, were great at letting me know when things like Big Horn Sheep were coming up.
Meals. Oh my God, the food. How the two of them cooked up three complete meals daily, from fresh meats, veggies, and fruits stored in coolers, is hard to imagine. Only the daily physical exertion of loading and unloading the rafts, hanging on during rapids, and hiking the side canyons kept us from getting fat!
I'm going around like a proselytizing Baptist, encouraging friends and family to take this trip. And spreading it all over Facebook!
