The Cold Made the Heat Bearable
We just returned from a 6 day trip down the Colorado River. Our guides Evan, Cory, MP, and Mickel made the trip fabulous. There are several companies to choose from but I would be willing to bet that none of them have the remarkable guides we had the privilege of having.
There were 27 guests with four guides. The guests aged from 12 to 73. Our group ranged from never having camped before to others who live and explore the outdoors in their everyday life.
The heat was incredible 105+ each day. The river temperature ran close to 50+. The cold river was a welcome relief to the heat.
Several in the group said it would be difficult to put into words what living on the river for a week would be like; one has to experience it to understand it. We would highly recommend this trip with Western River. I cannot think of one negative aspect of the trip. So many positive parts: guides, food, scenery, safety, education, new friends.
