Go for it!
Here is a favorite photo from our Grand Canyon "adventure of a lifetime". It was thrilling: the power of the river, the grandeur of the canyon, the challenge of the hikes. It was chilling: the river is 50 degrees & we were wet a lot - from drenching rapids, river baths & waterfall showers. It was filling: our bellies with great food; our hearts with the kindness of strangers, now our friends - terrific raft-mates & guides; our minds with facts & legends of this special place; our senses with the spirit of the river & the canyon & the nightly spectacles of the star-studded Milky Way sky. For the willing: to pay - for THE BEST outfitter & expert guides (Evan, Grace & Eric of Western River Expeditions); & to pack - loading & unloading the raft, setting up & breaking down camp (hey, as we were told: "this was not a Carnival cruise"). It was an incredible experience. Wish we had done it years ago. We lived it & loved it. Go for it!
