Green River Tours – amazing!
Excellent advice on what to bring.
I can't say enough good things about our guides; they were SUPER -- Desiree, Malayna (phon.), Amy, and the Hansen boys (Max and Sam). I've always been impressed with WREs guides -- friendly, clean and strong and up to any challenge. In particular, their ability to assess each participant and let us find our own levels. After saying up-front that there would be rapids they'd want us in the rafts for, they watched how those of us in the rubber duckies handled the rapids, and after observation, let some of us run all of them, even the Class 4 rapids. I greatly appreciated that -- and there were no upsets! They really went out of their way to be "friendly, courteous, kind, brave, clean and reverent" and all the other Scout values -- even with a couple of passengers who were a bit up-tight.
My first WRE raft trip was in 1971, through the Grand Canyon. I've since taken several others, so you know I appreciate the WRE experience. Topping it all is your selection of guides. I spent most of my time on this trip with Max and Sam Hansen (on their rafts) and can't say enough good things about them. But everything about the trip was fine -- the equipment, the food, the pre-trip arrangements -- everything.
