It got better and better!! – Utah Rafting in Cataract Canyon
My sister and my dad were on this exciting 'bucket list' trip with me. Going into the Utah rafting trip, we all had high expectations from the scenery and just the overall experience. We were blown out of the water with all of the amazing aspects of the trip!!! We got home a few days ago, and still can't stop talking about it!
The guides (Shad, Steve, Jess and Lane) were such a fun and enthusiastic group that we could not understand how they could keep up with energy! The meals that they created were amazing and even by day 4, we could not figure out how they could do everything with minimal camping gear. The day to day stories and things they shared with us created such a fun and exciting trip. We especially loved that although they were 'working' they seemed to really enjoy relaxing with all of us when eating, relaxing on the raft or having fun goofing off during the down times. Their knowledge of the canyon, hikes and history of the area brought everything that we were seeing to life.
We have been trying to acclimate to everyday life again, and we have to admit we prefer the "loo with a view" haha.
Top things to bring with you (as they recommend on the packing list) would be:
- Bug spray,
- Lots of sun lotion,
- Gloves for the rapids (they are hugeeee!)
- ...and some Advil! (Even if you are in shape there are muscles that you will use that you forgot you had, but it was a good sore)!
I would HIGHLY recommend this trip and company to anyone who would like to have an amazing once in a lifetime expedition!
