Once in a Lifetime – No Way – I Want to Go Again

We just returned from the Three-Day Grand Canyon Trip and I'm already looking at the Western River Expedition listing of other adventures. From the time the bus picked us up in Las Vegas on Sunday morning until we returned Tuesday afternoon, every detail was perfectly on time with our safety, comfort and enjoyment the primary goal.
Our guides were super!! Not only did they skillfully maneuver a huge raft loaded with gear and excited passengers through churning rapids, they provided excellent geologic and historic facts along the way. They prepared delicious meals three times a day with special attention to a member of our group with multiple food allergies. They made camping fun for everyone - even die hard motel dwellers!
I celebrated my 68th birthday on the trip. As if being on a raft in the Grand Canyon wasn't special enough, Stephanie baked a yummy chocolate cake in a dutch oven on the camp stove completely decorated with frosting and candles and I was honored with a song with guitar accompaniment by Steven. The close-up views of rock formations and plant life along the river were amazing; things that could never be appreciated in a look from the rim.
So, where next? Maybe Idaho. Maybe soon!
