Most Memorable 3 Days of My Life
With all the forms of travel we experienced to get to the river I would not have been surprised if something went wrong, but it was as smooth and perfect as possible. The plane and helicopter rides lefts us in such a positive and uplifting mood we were all so excited to get started.
I could not wait to get on the raft. The guides on the raft were very friendly but professional. They calmed us down and gave us thorough instructions. I did not think that 10 months of anticipation could be surpassed by the reality of the river. But it did and then some. The guides interacted with us in a way that made us feel like we had known them a long time. I liked the way they interjected some history and river lore as we traveled along.
The meals were great, not like camping food I had ever had. I don't know how you guys did it, but the weather seemed to be ordered just for us. We had perfect blue skies, not much wind, no rain or cloudiness at all, and full moons on both nights we camped out.
The feeling of this vacation is still with me a week later and I hope for a long time to come.
