The Perfect Antidote to a Hectic Life
My husband and I were WOWED on this trip. It was more than we hoped it would be! The best analogy is that Western River planned everything the way parents plan a vacation for their kids. Western River took care of EVERYTHING while we frolicked, played, goofed off, and had fun. As an adult, it's rare to experience that type of freedom again.
There was no way you could not enjoy yourself. The food was fantastic. My husband has food sensitivities. It was a non-issue. Without asking or reminding, his food was prepped to perfection and was enjoyed as the rest of us ate as well.
Our guides were the perfect blend of informative, fun, laid back, and caring. We experienced an unexpected storm our first night. They checked on each of us before we even realized the wind storm was going to be intense. We were able to sit back with family and new friends and simply relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy the awesome moments that were passing us by.
I have to say that our biggest surprise was at Bar 10 Ranch. We thought we'd have the option of each activity, but not the time to complete them all. We were shocked to see how seamlessly we all got to enjoy ATVing, horseback riding, skeet shooting, gorgeous sunsets, entertainment, and food. There, too, the food and people were fantastic. Our entire group agreed that it was a good call to book the extra day.
I can't sing enough praises for this trip. It is the best we've had - that means it beats Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Canada, business trips, and all the in between excursions. For us, it was the trip of a lifetime! A big thank you to our guides and the folks at Bar 10!
