The Ditzie Chicks – Rafting the Grand Canyon

A dream come true....what an incredible trip to share with great friends! We all felt like we had the Best Crew possible while rafting the Grand Canyon :) Mark (MP), was our captain, and had the most reassuring voice and pleasant attitude. Craig (Lucky), had wonderful stories and a little mischief to share, and Beak made our trip extra special by baking a cake for our three Ditzie Birthday Girls! Looked forward to every meal, and was never dissappointed.....Thanks so much for everything! Will never forget you all :)  Hugs, --Renee

I was part of a large group (the Ditzie Chicks) who enjoyed a 7-day trip guided by Mark Pierce and Craig Lutke, with the able assistance of Jason Vanderbeek. We expected great food, and were not disappointed. We expected knowledgeable guides, and our guides were very well versed in the geologic and natural history of the canyon. We expected the trip to be exciting yet as safe as humanly possible, and it was. We expected personable, professional service and that was what we got while rafting the Grand Canyon.

What we hadn't expected was the passion of our guides for the canyon, their enthusiasm for engaging us with the human history and lore of the canyon, and their compassion and kindness in helping us overcome physical challenges to enjoy every aspect of the trip.

Our crew were unfailingly patient and encouraging and funny!  I cannot emphasize enough what splendid company they were.

PS:  And of course we couldn't help but be impressed by the godlike, sinewy physiques of our crew, which rivaled even the walls of the canyon in their chiseled splendour!
