Worth Every Dollar Invested into a Fantastic Experience

This was our second Grand Canyon Expedition - one for each grandson. I was very impressed with the complete package on our first trip, but, now 8 years later, everything is even better.

Reservations, communications, planning assistance, equipment, and expedition leaders showed continued improvement. Clearly, Western is a place lead by a solid executive team which is always seeking ways to improve the experience, and executed by a committed operational staff.

Ben Bressler was our expedition leader, assisted by Sam Hansen, our "swamper". I cannot imagine a better balanced team to lead us. Both of these guys have in-depth knowledge of the river, the canyon, and its history. They display a passion to share that knowledge clearly, while entertaining in a unique way. Ben can really make a J-Rig dance.

Ben and Sam also both have creative skills in the use of Duct Tape to fix booboos on our equipment and bodies.

My sons, grandson and I were very fortunate to have been lead by these professionals.

The other boat in our expedition was lead by Kelly, assisted by Keiffer. Of course, we only had direct contact during our stops, but they seemed to be well qualified, and very committed to our having a memorable time. We appreciated Kelly's talents that were displayed during our after-dinner time.
