This Trip Was Fantastic
I came on the 6-day trip to help fill an item on my wife's bucket list. The bucket is overflowing. I had never been on any rafting trip in my life.
Needless to say there was a little apprehension stepping onto the J rig. No reason to be afraid as there is a place for everyone. The guides were fantastic. We had a meet and greet a few miles down river and from that point on everyone was on a first name basis. We became a family. The food was beyond belief. I saw pictures in the brochures but everyday the meals were fantastic.
I had been to the South Rim 10 years ago so I had enjoyed the beauty of the Grand Canyon from above. Nothing like being down on the river looking up. 187 miles of absolute beauty. Our guides were also historians as they escorted us on our adventure. The types of rocks, the rapids names and when they were named, the history of the early exploration of the Colorado River. I can see doing this expedition again and again.
